International Patients Q&A

What kind of medical care can I get as a foreign patient?

Dr. Ramin provides various medical services for all patients, including domestic and foreign ones. If you have an illness or injury that isn’t life-threatening, such as a cold or sprain, he’ll see you during your trip, so you don’t have to wait until you get home for treatment. Dr. Ramin will evaluate your condition and provide the treatment you need to recover and enjoy the rest of your trip.

Does Dr. Ramin provide treatments for medical tourists?

If you’re visiting the US specifically for medical care, Dr. Ramin can see you depending on the type of care you need. If you need treatment for a chronic condition, such as arthritis or diabetes, he can provide guidance and other types of care for managing these conditions.

If you’re seeking a second opinion or need a preoperative evaluation, Dr. Ramin also offers these medical services. If you need treatment for a heart problem, he offers echocardiograms to ensure you receive an accurate diagnosis and proper care.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

If you happen to be visiting the US and need unexpected medical care, please be ready to provide Dr. Ramin with as much information as possible about your medical history and medications. Since he won’t have access to your medical records, he’ll have to rely on you to inform him about any medical conditions you have. If you’re visiting as a medical tourist, please bring a copy of your medical records to show Dr. Ramin.

Should I get follow-up care before I leave?

That depends on the kind of illness or injury you have during your trip. You might not need follow-up care for minor illnesses and injuries. If you’re concerned about whether or not it’s safe for you to travel home if you’re sick or injured, you can make an appointment for follow-up care with Dr. Ramin. Otherwise, he’ll let you know at your initial visit if you need to schedule follow-up care.
